Ive been sewing since I was a kid. When I grew very tall, I couldn't afford model clothing and was never going to be a model, but I found out that I could make them for myself and pretend that I was one. I soon realized that I had a pretty good eye for design and color. After years of people wishing they could wear my clothes, I started doing custom work for private clients. Being passionate about Vintage, I was also fortunate enough to have men and women bring me antique or outdated designer clothing to alter and remake to fit their particular modern bodies. All of this led me to being able to fit many different kinds of bodies with a variety of garments and costumes - for many different kinds of events and purposes. Ive learned so much about design and fit through altering and tailoring better clothing. I think this shows in the garments and costumes that I make.

I was bitten by the Tribal Belly Dance bug 15 years or so ago, which led me down the road to making costumes for the more well known dancers around the world. This led to producing a small line of dance wear and adornments that catered to the more free of heart and spirit. This led to opening my Etsy shop where I could be accessible to everyone, which led to my happiness and a better life.

My sizing system has been compiled from hundreds of client's measurements collected over the years and integrated into a series of what I consider true women's sizes. This may vary slightly from standard grading - as I've taken these measurements from real women living in the real world!

My designs are influenced by history, the arts, my vibrant upbringing in the SF Bay Area , my stage experience, folk wear, whatever scene I may be surfing in, and every creative human being that Ive ever come in contact with. Whatever I make and put up in my Etsy shop will have the fit and flair that comes with years of experience and a dynamic background!

I do Bridal, Alterations, Corsetry, Vintage Reconstruction and Reproduction, Historical Costuming and of course, Tribal Belly Dance Wear. I make my garments and costumes as I would if you were to be wearing it every day of your life.
